By Adeboye Amosu: Nigerian forward, Chisom Chikatara, will work under a new coach at his Moroccan club, Wydad Casablanca, following the appointment of Spaniard, Benito Floro, as the new handler of the team, reportsCompletesportsnigeria. com (CSN).
Benito returned for a second stint at the African champions following the dismissal of Hussein Amotta on Wednesday.
He first managed the team in 2013 where a defeat against Djoliba of Mali in the CAF Confederation Cup ended his reign.
The 65-year-old joins Wydad from Costa Rican top league side Liga Deportiva Alajuelense where he has been for the past one year.
Amotta and his entire backroom staff were sent parking following a string of poor domestic run.
The champions have lost six times in their last fourteen outings and currently sit in 12th position in the 16-teams standings, 13 points off leaders Hassania Agadir.
Chikatara who joined Wydad Casablanca in 2016 from Nigeria Professional Football League club Abia Warriors has struggled to make an impact at the club since then.
He rarely featured under Amotta and will hope to get more game time with the arrival of Benito.
